Dakota Johnson revealed the savage revenge she took on the man who had ‘broken her friend’s heart.’

The Fifty Shades Of Grey actress, 35 – whose shock split from Chris Martin was confirmed this week – opened up about her loyalty to her pal while taking a lie detector test for Vanity Fair. 

At one point, the topic was brought up when the star was asked, ‘You once sent a man who broke your friend’s heart a gallon of gorilla s**t. Can you confirm or deny that this happened?’ 

Johnson paused to take a deep breath before sharing, ‘I mean there’s no way he would watch this. So, yes I did do that. It’s been quite a while – it’s been some years.’ 

The beauty was then questioned how she was able to order and send such an item, with Dakota quickly answering, ‘S**tsenders.com.’ 

‘You can order any kind, any size,’ she further explained before the person working the polygraph test said that the Hollywood star was telling the truth.

Johnson appeared for the Vanity Fair clip to promote her upcoming romantic comedy Materialists – which also stars Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal. 

It also comes just days after it was revealed that both she and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin have officially gone their separate ways following eight years of dating. 

The former couple were first romantically linked back in 2017 and became engaged a few years later in 2020. 

The actress had also developed a close bond with his two children Apple, 21, and Moses, 19 – whom the singer shares with ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow. 

A source recently told DailyMail.com, ‘Their relationship has been over for a long time, they just haven’t been able to figure out to make it official. Dakota held a flame for them to be together because she loved him so much and loved his kids so much.

‘Breakups aren’t instant and they continued to breakup and makeup and sometimes things would work when they were away from each other, while they were working because absence makes the heart grow fonder.

‘But then they’d get back together and little things just kept adding up to where they weren’t right for each other anymore.’

The insider added, ‘Dakota is devastated that she isn’t going to be around his kids as much anymore, but wants them to know that she is always there for them.’

It comes amid news that Dakota is ‘devastated that she isn’t going to be around [Martin’s] kids as much anymore, but wants them to know that she is always there for them’; Chris pictured with ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, and their kids Apple and Moses

The source also stated that Johnson and Martin could possibly rekindle their romance in the future but explained that currently ‘being separated will do wonders if they were to have any type of future together.’

DailyMail.com has reached out to representatives for Johnson and Martin for comment but did not immediately hear back.

A separate insider told The Sun this week, ‘Dakota wanted this relationship to work. She not only loves Chris, but his two kids, and that loss feels incredibly painful. The decision to end things was amicable, but Dakota is finding it hard.

‘Over the past year, it became clear that their relationship had stalled and wasn’t moving forwards.’ 

The pair’s busy careers and schedules made it difficult for the stars to settle down together. 

‘Settling down, as in Chris properly taking his foot off the pedal, isn’t going to happen. And, ultimately, it was one of the many straws that broke the back of them,’ the source continued. 

Along with becoming close to his children, Dakota also developed a friendship with Paltrow as well over the years.

Gwyneth and Martin initially tied the knot back in 2003 but their divorced was officially finalized in 2016. 

Despite the split, both Paltrow and Johnson will still remain close and in each other’s life, per People. 

An insider told the outlet that the Iron Man actress ‘fully intends on maintaining that bond’ with Dakota. 

The two actresses ‘have grown close over the years and Gwyneth even considers Dakota family’ and the pair also have ‘genuine mutual respect’ for each other. 

‘They both grew up in the spotlight, have been in the business for years, and really relate to each other’s experiences.’  

Last year, rumors of a split between Dakota and Chris began to circulate but a source at the time told People that they were still ‘happily together.’

The insider added, ‘Sure, they’ve had issues and taken breaks in the past, but things are great now.’ 

Johnson has since been filtering through a busy schedule as she promotes her latest movie Materialists – which is set to release this month on June 13.

During a recent interview with Deadline, Dakota opened up about the romantic comedy and having the chance to work with both Pedro Pascal and Chris Evans. 

‘Chris and Pedro were wonderful. They’re both pretty funny dudes. They both really make me laugh. I really make Chris laugh, which I like a lot. And Pedro and I were friends before, so just being able to hang out all day was really fun.’

She added, ‘Because when you’re on set, you’re just like, “Oh, I’m in movie prison and I can’t do anything, and I can’t see anybody and I live on set.” So, it was just so fun to have a friend there. But they’re both, I think, really wonderful in this movie.’
