David Axelrod Criticizing Trump’s West Point Address Experiences a Humiliating Loss

President Donald Trump gave the commencement address at West Point on Saturday.

Democrats, of course, flipped out, attacking the speech. There were a lot of bad comments, but perhaps the most ridiculous one — and that’s hard because there were a lot of ridiculous ones – was this claim from Democratic operative David Axelrod alleging that Trump just spoke about “winning” and didn’t mention anything about duty, honor or sacrifice.

“No mention of duty, honor, sacrificing for something larger than themselves–things he just doesn’t understand. He thinks those are for suckers and losers,” Axelrod claimed.

This was not true and Axelrod got wrecked in the replies to his X post, yet it’s still up.

Trump praised how the cadets could have done anything, but instead chose honor and sacrifice, muddy boots and fatigues, saying they were “amazing people.”

Trump mentioned the “long gray line,” the people who had come before these cadets and made history.

He also recognized West Point Cadet Ricky McMahon, noting the long record of military service of his family and that his uncle, father, and mother graduated from West Point. As Trump noted, his father Lt. Col. Michael McMahon made the ultimate sacrifice for the nation in Afghanistan. Trump explained that the 2025 class rings were forged with gold from his 1985 class ring.
