The Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (DLCC), which looks to elect Democrats in state legislatures, announced on Tuesday that it’s making a new six-figure investment in the New Jersey Assembly races ahead of next month, according to plans first shared with The Hill.

The DLCC made an initial five-figure investment in those races in August, and the group is backing a dozen candidates running in various districts. The DLCC declined to provide a specific number regarding its latest investment.

“In the final weeks of the campaign, the DLCC is running through the tape and investing to protect our strongest Democratic incumbents and flip some of the GOP’s most vulnerable districts in the New Jersey Assembly,” DLCC President Heather Williams said in a statement.

“New Jersey Republicans refuse to acknowledge or stand up to Trump’s failing economic agenda, which is hurting the people of their state,” she continued. “We’re proud to be supporting New Jersey Democrats who are stepping up to protect their communities.”

Democrats enjoy a 52-28 edge in the Assembly, meaning the party isn’t likely to lose its majority. However, several legislative districts will be closely watched, particularly in places like the 3rd district, which stretches into the Gloucester, Salem, and Cumberland counties, and the 8th district in the Atlantic and Burlington counties.

Also on the New Jersey ballot next month is the gubernatorial race between Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D-N.J.) and former GOP Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli.
