As America gears up to mark its 250th year, Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin emphasized to – News that people worldwide flock to America, drawn by the ability to achieve the unimaginable—not the other way around.
“Take a moment to consider my position: I’m here in the heart of the nation’s capital, serving in the president’s cabinet, despite not being of royal lineage,” Mullin remarked, highlighting the remarkable nature of his journey.
“Politics was never part of my family’s history. We come from a small rural community in Westville, Oklahoma, and my heritage is Cherokee. My ancestors were relocated to this area during the forced marches of the late 1830s,” he shared.
Sworn into his cabinet role this March, the Trump administration member reflected, “In America, there are no limits to what you can achieve. It’s all about the sacrifices you’re willing to make. Instead of complaining or merely wishing, it’s about dedication, because here, no one imposes limits on your potential.”
The former congressman and senator continued, “You can achieve at whatever level of sacrifice you want to make, and that’s what’s great, because everybody can truly live the American dream.”
“That’s why people flood our borders, trying to get in – not the opposite direction,” he added.
