PRESIDENT Donald Trump has revealed he will spell out the situation facing Americans as he gears up to make his first address to Congress.

The Republican, 78, will address lawmakers just six weeks after being sworn in and it comes at a time when he faces both domestic and global challenges.

At home, Americans are grappling with high egg prices and fears of further price rises are mounting in light of the trade war with China.

And, tariff threats on Mexican and Canadian goods have not disappeared.

On the foreign stage, Trump is at the center of trying to bring the Ukraine-Russia war to an end after the conflict turned into a three-year meatgrinder.

Trump will address the nation just days after his fireplace Oval Office with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky turned into chaos.

Trump publicly scolded the Ukrainian president, warning he is gambling with World War 3 in a blistering, historic spat in front of the nation’s media.

Zelensky was turfed out of the White House with Trump saying he can return when he’s ready for peace.

Ramping up the anticipation of the speech, Trump posted on Truth Social: “Tomorrow night will be big. I will tell it like it is.”

Trump’s address is different from a State of the Union speech because it is only weeks into his term.

Trump is the first president since Grover Cleveland in the 19th century to serve two non-consecutive terms.

State of the Union speeches allow presidents to gush about their achievements over the past year.

Zelensky must strike deal or face annihilation – Trump bust-up was disrespectful but WILL bring peace, says Farage

They often use the phrase: “The State of The Union is strong.”

Trump is set to spell out his agenda, which is expected to receive rapturous applause from Republicans.

In his first six weeks, he signed a blitz of executive orders – ranging from declaring an emergency at the southern border to signing decrees declaring the end of diversity, equity, and inclusion programs.

On crime, Trump designated cartels like Tren de Aragua and MS-13 as terror organizations.

Trump has signed more than 70 executive orders so far.

In his first 100 days, Trump signed 33 executive orders, while Biden signed 42.

But, the procedure surrounding Trump’s speech will have similarities to a state of the union address.

House Speaker Mike Johnson told Fox News Trump’s address will be like a State of the Union.

What will Trump say in his address to Congress?

DONALD Trump will address lawmakers in a joint session of Congress tomorrow.

What time will it start? 9pm EST

What will Trump say? Trump will lay out his agenda for his second administration. Ukraine, inflation, Gaza, migration are all likely to be topics featuring within the speech.

Who will deliver the Democratic response: Elissa Slotkin.

Is Trump’s speech a State of the Union address? No. This is because the speech will take place in the early weeks of Trump’s first term.

He claimed Trump has “such a long string of victories.”

The opposition to the White House party will give a response.

In March 2024, Alabama Senator Katie Britt gave the Republican rebuttal to Biden’s final State of the Union address.

Tomorrow night, Elissa Slotkin, a junior Michigan senator, will give the Democratic response.

Democrats picked out Slotkin as she defeated a sitting Republican lawmaker in the 2018 House of Representatives election, and won the Senate race in Michigan.

Slotkin prevailed despite Trump carrying the swing state in the presidential election.

But, the Democrats are on the back foot when it comes to who voters believe can deal with particular issues, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll.

Voters prefer Republicans when it comes to the economy, and tackling immigration and crime, according to the survey.

The economy and migration were two of the most important factors that influenced voting behavior in the presidential election.

Trump’s conversation with Zelensky descended into chaos after Vice President JD Vance asked the Ukrainian leader if he had thanked Americans for their support during the meeting.

Vance suggested to Zelensky that engaging in diplomacy was the path to peace.

“What kind of diplomacy, JD, are you talking about,” Zelensky quipped back.

Vance hit back, warning him about the diplomacy that would stop the destruction of Ukraine.

Trump then lashed out when Zelensky spoke about the impacts the US could face if Russia is successful.

Trump warned Zelensky that Kyiv “doesn’t have the cards.”

“You’re gambling with millions of lives,” Trump said.

“You’re gambling with World War III.”

WHITE HOUSE RAGE

Zelensky then irked Trump and Vance further when he claimed Ukraine had been “alone” following the invasion.

Trump then lashed out at his predecessor, Joe Biden, calling him “stupid” and referring to the aid the US has given Ukraine.

Trump claimed the figure was $350 billion, but this is disputed.

US Defense chiefs claim the figure is around the $180 billion mark.

But, the way talks broke down has sparked fears Trump could withdraw all military aid to Ukraine, per CBS News.

Trump also posted on Truth Social the US should be more concerned about drug lords and migrants, than Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

Even GOP lawmakers who have been sympathetic to Ukraine blasted Zelensky’s attitude.

Senator Lindsey Graham urged Zelensky to “change” or resign.

Trump’s national security adviser Mike Waltz seemed to cast doubt on Zelensky’s ability to strike a deal.

“We need a leader that can deal with us eventually, deal with the Russians and end this war,” he said.

“If it becomes apparent President Zelensky’s either personal motivations or political motivations are divergent from ending the fighting in his country, then I think we have a real issue on our hands.”

Zelensky was supposed to sign a minerals deal at the White House, but this did not materialize following the bust up.

He has confirmed he would resign if Ukraine is granted Nato membership – a red line in any potential agreement so far.
