PRESIDENT Donald Trump has made a sly nod at a third presidential run with a brand new piece of merchandise.
His real estate company just dropped a red hat with “2028” proudly displayed on the front.
The ballcaps are being sold for $50 on the Trump Organization’s official online store, and shoppers are urged to “make a statement” by buying one.
In the listing, Eric Trump, the president’s second-oldest child, can be seen smiling while donning the bold, bright red headwear.
When asked why the merchandise was put online, Kimberly Benza, a spokesperson for the Trump Organization, said, “Because it’s amazing,” the New York Post reported.
When Trump completes his second term, he won’t be eligible to run for president again under Constitutional law.
But that hasn’t stopped Trump from publicly stating that he is “not joking” about a potential third term.
The president told NBC News in March that “a lot of people want me to do it,” referring to the idea of running for reelection again.
“But, I mean, I basically tell them we have a long way to go, you know, it’s very early in the administration,” he said.
