US president Donald Trump reignited his long-running feud with Rosie O’Donnell during the White House event this afternoon.

The US President took aim at his old nemesis after it emerged she’d moved to Ireland as a result of Trump’s second presidency.

The former The View co-host is an outspoken critic of the White House chief and has famously clashed with him on several occasions.

And she took to TikTok to share that she has escaped his new term in the Oval Office by fleeing to Ireland.

But Trump hit back at O’Donnell when asked about her departure by reporters at the White House.

During his meeting with Taoiseach Micheal Martin this afternoon, he shared his thoughts on the situation.

Brian Glenn, chief White House correspondent for Real America’s Voice, which is a Trump supporting news outlet, asked the Taoiseach: “Ireland is known for very happy, fun loving people. Why in the world would you let Rosie O’Donnell move to Ireland? I think she is going to lower your happiness level.”

In response, Trump said “It’s true. I like that question.”

He then asked the Taoiseach if he had heard of her, before adding: “You’re better off not knowing her.”

New York native Rosie, 62, and her 12-year-old daughter, Dakota, made the leap to the Emerald Isle following Trump‘s most recent election.

Rosie took to TikTok to give a “life update” to her followers after online speculation that she had moved out of the US.

The View star told fans that she had moved to Dublin in January and declared: “It’s been pretty wonderful.”

‘LOVELY PEOPLE’

She continued: “The people here are so loving, kind and welcoming.”

The American comedian revealed that she is in the process of securing Irish citizenship as she has a family lineage on both her mother’s and father’s sides.

Rosie emotionally told fans that she never thought she would have to move countries, but added: “It was the best decision for me and my 12-year-old child, and here we are.”

The former talk show host admitted that she missed her children in America, as well as her family and friends.

‘RETURN WHEN SAFE’

However, she emphasised: “When it is safe for all citizens to have equal rights in America, we will consider coming back.”

O’Donnell, who is a vocal critic of President Trump, explained: “It has been heartbreaking to see what is happening over there politically.

“It’s been hard for me personally.”

She concluded the announcement with a message for her American fans: “Protect your sanity as much as you can and try not to swim in the chaos if possible, but I know it’s nearly impossible when you’re there in the middle of it.”

“I think about everyone every day and the United States of America. And I am hoping that we can turn things around, counting on you, all of you, to do what’s right.

” And I think deep down inside, we all know what that is.”
