ELON Musk’s strict private jet rules have been revealed and small talk is just one of the bizarre things banned.
The leaked document described Musk as a “nice, laid-back” person but said crew members must avoid speaking unless spoken to first.
Elon Musk’s guide to private jet etiquette was leaked as part of a cyber attack on private jet company NetJets Inc.
The guide details Musk’s very strict in-flight rules.
The billionaire likes the cabin at a chilly 65 degrees with passenger air vents switched off as he “does not like noise.”
He also requires the lights to be dimmed, perhaps because he “likes to take a nap, even on day trips”.
The guide also states that Musk “does not enjoy unexpected WiFi outages”.
But the crew were advised to avoid offering Musk any form of tech support unless specifically requested.
The document said: “Mr. Musk considers himself self-sufficient and does not need help with technology—if he does, he will ask.”
The Tesla CEO is also reportedly “not interested in conserving fuel,” but rather “wants to fly as quickly and direct” as possible.
The electric car giant prides itself on being a clean energy company.
The document is thought to have been written in November last year.
Musk owns two private jets but the Gulfstream G650ER is reportedly his favourite.
The G650ER is one of the largest purpose-built private jets – complete with three luxurious living areas.
The jet is capable of inflight-WiFi with each seat having its own 12-inch screen and power outlets.
Another 32-inch screen and two 16-inch screens are displayed in other parts of the cabin.
Each seat can fully recline and be transformed into a sleeping area.
Adding to the spacious interior are two restrooms with granite sinks.
A kitchen also contains an oven and a microwave.
And tables can be raised by the seats in the front and rear living areas with the touch of a button.
Window shades at each seat can also be controlled by a button.
The jet can travel up to 7,500 nautical miles at speeds of up to Mach .925 meaning Musk can jet in between any two cities in the world in one stop or less.
