THIS is the shocking moment Emmanuel Haro’s parents are arrested on murder charges – a week after claiming their toddler was abducted.
Dramatic footage shows cops hauling away the seven-month-old child’s mum and dad as they now face murder charges, according to authorities.
Little Emmanuel has not been seen since August 14 after his mother claimed he was kidnapped from the parking lot of a sporting goods store as she was changing his diaper.
But cops believe the twisted tale is a lie.
The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department confirmed to The U.S. Sun that parents Jake Haro, 32, and Rebecca Haro, 41, were arrested on Friday morning.
Authorities also confirmed that there was an active operation at the Haros’ residence.
Footage from the parents’ home in Cabazon, California, about an hour east of Riverside, showed a large law enforcement presence, including SWAT units and forensics vehicles.
Investigators were seen combing through three detached buildings on the property, including a single-story home and a barn that was in a state of disrepair.
Several helicopters were seen circling the expansive property, as law enforcement officials were seen exiting the home and buildings with several boxes of evidence.
The sheriff’s department said: “During the investigation thus far, numerous interviews have been conducted, search warrants have been served, digital and electronic evidence has been collected and closely analysed.
“Based on the evidence, investigators determined a kidnapping in Yucaipa did not occur.
The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department added said they believe search for little Emmanuel continues.
“It is believed Emmanuel is deceased, and the search to recover his remains is ongoing,” they added.
The Haros are now facing murder charges, according to police.
Investigators had previously executed a search warrant at the home on Monday and seized Jake’s vehicle the following day.
When Emmanuel first went missing, Rebecca alleged that an unknown man approached her from behind and said, “hola,” before knocking her unconscious.
She told police she was knocked out so fast she never even saw the man’s face.
“I saw white,” Rebecca told reporters at the time, adding that when she regained consciousness, her seven-month-old son was gone.
However, as investigators continued to press the parents for details surrounding the alleged abduction, the couple stopped cooperating with authorities, San Bernardino police said.
Authorities determined they found “inconsistencies” with Rebecca’s statements.
Investigators did not publicly disclose Rebecca’s conflicting statements, but said after initial interviews with the couple they both declined to be questioned further.
Jake then hired an attorney, who claimed the father was still cooperating with the investigations into his son’s disappearance.
