Rebecca and Jake were arrested – more than a week after she claimed her son, seven months, had been snatched while in a parking lot.

She said she was ambushed while changing her seven-month-old son’s diaper, and when she regained consciousness, she claimed her baby was gone.

Emmanuel’s mother’s claims sparked an urgent search, but cops spotted inconsistencies in her account, which meant they couldn’t rule out foul play.

Cops probed an alleged sighting just days before they revealed the tragic update that they believe Emmanuel is dead.

Investigators are still searching for Emmanuel’s body and footage obtained by RMG News showed Jake, who was wearing prison overalls, searching in a remote valley.

They were combing an area near the 60 Freeway in Moreno Valley, California.

The area is home to canyons and mountain ranges.

Cadaver dogs were used in the search, but Emmanuel’s body wasn’t found.

Police haven’t said why they searched that particular area of land.

The search comes after sources revealed chilling details of what was found inside the Haro family home in Cabazon – located around 90 miles from Los Angeles.

The arrest came after officers searched a barn that was in a state of disrepair, as well as three detached buildings.

Police had trawled through surveillance footage and removed items such as Xbox consoles from the family home.

Emmanuel and Jake had handed over their cell phones to cops, and police also seized a car belonging to the father.

Rebecca was seen sporting a black eye days after she claimed Emmanuel had been snatched.

Police have now said they don’t believe a kidnapping occurred.

MOTHER’S CLAIMS

She claimed she was ambushed near a Big 5 Sporting Goods store in Yucaipa – located around 20 miles from the family home – on August 14.

Rebecca said she heard a voice before losing consciousness and the alleged ambush.

“I woke up here on the floor,” she told the CW affiliate KTLA as she recalled the alleged kidnapping.

During the search, the Haro’s claimed they received death threats and were forced to call 911.

Allison Weiner, a NewsNation senior producer, said there was a “bit of a circus” outside the Haro’s home.

“These people are walking onto the lawn, they’re walking up to the house, they’re banging on the door. I saw some of that behavior. So basically, this case has generated a lot of emotional people,” she added.

Police never issued an Amber Alert following reports Emmanuel was missing.

This was because cops did not have any information relating to a suspect.
