Just a week has passed since the Maine Senate primary, where Graham Platner, with the endorsement of Bernie Sanders, secured a decisive victory over his Democratic rivals. Among those was Gov. Janet Mills, supported by Chuck Schumer, who had paused her campaign in April. Despite this, she reminded voters that her name remained on the ballot, especially after a sexting scandal emerged.
Following Platner’s triumph, my colleague at RedState, Jennifer Oliver O’Connell, highlighted that Democrats were now fully accountable for what she termed the Platner circus as the general election campaign approached. This includes his controversial Reddit posts, a Nazi tattoo, various fabrications about his past and origins, the sexting scandal, and allegations of physical abuse and dominance over women—essentially, the entire gamut of controversies.
After his victory, my RedState colleague Jennifer Oliver O’Connell pointed out that Democrats now owned the whole Platner clown show going into the general election campaign season, complete with the disgusting Reddit posts, the Nazi tattoo, the numerous lies and embellishments about his background and origin story, the sexting, the allegations of physical abuse and controlling behavior against women, the whole nine yards.
