?This routine statement does not cut It? ? Falz slams President Tinubu?s response to Benue killings

Nigerian rapper and activist, Falz, is not holding back.

After President Bola Ahmed Tinubu made a formal statement regarding the recent killings in Benue State, Falz took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share his disappointment with what he called another “routine statement.”

Tinubu’s post, which condemned the attacks and called on security agencies and political leaders to act swiftly, read in part:

“Enough is enough! I have directed the security agencies to act decisively… Our people must live in peace…”

But Falz wasn’t impressed.

Quoting the president’s post, he wrote:

“You have consistently proven that you are unable to fulfill the basic responsibility of safeguarding the lives and property of your citizens. This routine statement is not sufficient.”

The musician has always been outspoken about the lack of security and inaction by the government, and his most recent response reflects the frustration felt by many Nigerians concerning the repeated violence in Benue and other regions of the country.

Falz’s comment has since sparked conversations online, with many users backing his stance while others criticized his tone.
