A POPULAR YouTuber has been accused of using AI in an apology after her channel was demonetized following claims of doxxing another creator.

Alia Shelesh, better known as SSSniperwolf, has more than 34million subscribers on YouTube, where she has become famous for her vlog and reaction-style videos.

However, she has come under fire after another creator, JacksFilms – real name John Patrick Douglass – accused her of doxxing him on Instagram.

“Let me start by saying I’m sorry for my recent actions; it is inexcusable. I’m sorry to Jacksfilm, YouTube, the entire creator community, and my incredible fans for not being a better example for appropriate conflict resolution,” SSSniperwolf wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Jacksfilm, while we certainly don’t see eye to eye and have our differences, I am sorry for reacting the way I did when I should’ve taken the opportunity to show young creators how adults and professionals resolve conflict by communicating directly, respectfully, and privately; not for views or content, but a meaningful example of how conflict should be solved.

“I will reach out directly and hope we can find some time to connect and communicate, respectfully. I’d also like to thank YouTube for holding me accountable. I deserve it, respect the decision and appreciate the opportunity to learn and grow from a true lapse in judgement.”

However, many accused SSSniperwolf of using artificial intelligence or ChatGPT to write the statement, believing that her words weren’t sincere.

“Girl pulled up the ChatGPT apology,” wrote one person.

“So ChatGPT is sorry, what about you Lia?” wrote another person.

Several people shared pictures of a ukelele, referring to Colleen Ballinger’s bizarre apology video in June over claims of grooming.

‘DANGEROUS’

On October 13, Jack tweeted a screenshot of SSSniperwolf’s Instagram story, where she asked her 5million followers if she should visit Jack’s home while she was at a photo shoot.

In another post, she shared an image of Jack’s home before quickly deleting it, however, many were able to get screengrabs of it.

Jack called the action “creepy, gross,” and “violating,” asking YouTube to demonetize SSSniperwolf’s channel, saying that she was “dangerous.”

Demonetization makes it so a creator can’t make money off of their YouTube content through ad revenue.

Jack has criticized SSSniperwolf in the past for creating “lazy” content that steals from other creators while SSSniperwolf claimed that Jack had been “harassing her.”

“This creep has been harassing me for months then plays victim saying I threatened him when I just wanted to talk,” she said in an Instagram story after the controversy.

“I have no ill intentions. It’s so sad when people have to constantly create drama to pay their bills.”

For days, YouTube didn’t release a response, causing the platform to be criticized by big-name creators such as Philip DeFranco, Pokimane, and MoistCr1TiKal, who all accused SSSniperwolf of doxxing Jack.

In a tweet on October 20, YouTube announced that SSSniperwolf will receive “a temporary monetization suspension per Creator Responsibility policies.”

“Off platform actions that put others’ personal safety at risk harm our community & the behavior on both sides isn’t what we want on YT,” the tweet read.

“Hoping everyone helps move this convo to a better place.”

This response didn’t do much to calm the fire as creators were quick to call out the platform once again.

“Wait…both sides?” said Jacksepticeye, who has 30million subscribers, “Criticism and parody are not the same as doxxing.”

“How the f**k are they ‘both sides,'” said Philip DeFranco.

“Equating SSSniperwolf putting another creator’s life in danger by showing up in the middle of the night and broadcasting the outside of their home to their millions of followers with Jack posting a bunch of videos critiquing and parodying her?!”

Jack has yet to respond to SSSniperwolf’s apology or the action from YouTube.

The U.S. Sun has reached out to YouTube, Jack, and SSSniperwolf for comment.
