The image that remains etched in many minds following the Minnesota day care fraud scandal is of a sign that reads “Quality Learing Center” instead of the intended “Quality Learning Center.” This glaring error underscores the missteps of the center, capturing public attention even as the scandal itself begins to fade from the headlines.
According to RedState, the mishap occurred at a facility located at 1411 Nicollet Avenue in Minneapolis. The New York Post reports that the sign’s misspelling was attributed to a graphic designer’s oversight. Nonetheless, the owners of this supposed educational establishment seemed unfazed by the missing letter, brushing it off as a minor issue.
In comments to the Post, Ibrahim Ali, son of the center’s owner, explained, “What I understand is [the owners] dealt with a graphic designer. He did it incorrectly. I guess they didn’t think it was a big issue.” The duration for which this sign has been displayed remains unclear, adding another layer of mystery to the story.

As RedState previously reported, the son of the owner of this particular location, which is on 1411 Nicollet Avenue in Minneapolis, told the New York Post this week that it was the graphic designer’s fault the sign had the incorrect spelling, but that the owners of the so-called learning center apparently didn’t think it was that big of a deal that the sign touting the alleged educational facility was missing a letter.
“What I understand is [the owners] dealt with a graphic designer. He did it incorrectly. I guess they didn’t think it was a big issue,” Ibrahim Ali said, according to the Post’s write-up. Though it’s unclear how long the sign has been up at this location.
