Riggs announced that she and her husband Bryan Kolterman welcomed little Louisa Adeline on Friday at 11:26 am, she told People.

The journalist said that, as someone who grew up with two older sisters, she’s so excited to live in a house full of girls.

“I know the special bond that sisters have with each other, and I can’t wait to watch my daughters grow up and have the same bond with each other,” she said.

“Being a wife and a mom is one of the most special gifts I’ve been given.”

Riggs called her baby a “warrior” as the little girl was actually born in the backseat of a Lyft.

The Fox host said that she labored for a couple of hours in her New York City apartment before calling the car with her doula.

“There was a moment when my doula and I looked at each other and said, ‘I think we need to go to the hospital,’ but I underestimated how fast my girl would come and how much New York City traffic we would face,” she said.

Riggs said that they were stuck in traffic and “trying to dodge a hospital” when Louisa arrived, just a few blocks away from the hospital.

Her doula was able to help with the delivery and make sure the baby was safe and breathing until they got to medical professionals.

After Riggs gave birth in the car, Kolterman called the hospital to tell them “we were coming in very hot” and called 911.

When they finally arrived, the husband burst through the front doors and yelled, “My wife just gave birth in a car. The baby is in the car,” Riggs said.

The entire hospital staff rushed outside, and a nurse cut the umbilical cord in the back seat so they could bring in little Louisa.

Then, the workers brought out a stretcher to help Riggs and make sure that she was stable.

The host said that she wanted to give a “huge thanks” to the hospital staff and to the Lyft driver who was “very calm under pressure.”

“He’ll always be a special part of our story,” she said.

Riggs explained that Louisa’s name comes from several family members. Kolterman’s grandfather was named Louis, and both of them have ancestors who were named Adelina.
