A FOX News panelist has revealed that she’s been battling stage 3 cancer for six weeks in a heartbreaking live TV admission.
The contributor opened up about her own health struggles as she discussed Joe Biden’s aggressive cancer diagnosis.
Political analyst Lucy Caldwell was speaking with Howard Kurtz for his show MediaBuzz about speculation that Biden may have hidden his cancer diagnosis when she shared her own experience with the disease.
She said “we just don’t know” whether the White House purposefully hid the diagnosis while he was in office, and added that cancer can come about quickly.
“I actually will tell you something. I have cancer,” she said live on air.
“I am actively a cancer patient right now. I also feel great.”
Caldwell said that cancer is constantly evolving and, with many different types of treatments available, it’s hard to know your day-to-day health status.
“You get the cancer diagnosis, it could be weeks or months before you know more about your cancer,” she said.
The brave panelist appeared to well up as she spoke about cancer being a winding journey and made a final call for compassion to anyone battling the disease.
“It is important that we show compassion and care and understanding about the nuance and complexities of these illnesses,” she said.
Kurtz and fellow panelist Clay Travis, who founded commentary website OutKick, voiced their well-wishes for Caldwell, and she said she is hoping to make a full recovery.
Caldwell is a political advocacy expert who has implemented technology to help promote policy issues, according to her LinkedIn page.
In 2019, she worked as the campaign manager for business tycoon Joe Walsh, who challenged then-incumbent Donald Trump for his nomination.
During her work with Walsh, she founded the audience engagement company Mockingbird Lab, which she continues to run.
The U.S. Sun has reached out to Caldwell for comment.
