Fox News accidentally cut to footage of a violent brawl during a report about Taylor Swift.

The b-roll-related blunder could be seen on Tuesday’s Fox & Friends. Reporter Carley Shimkus was in the midst of speaking about Swift’s newly announced album.

But rather than a clip from the podcast where the pop star made the revelation, viewers were met with footage from the viral Cincinnati beatdown that left six injured last month.

‘Well, that was not the clip,’ Shimkus mused.

‘You know, sometimes I just take something out of my pocket and throw it into the TV and it’s the wrong thing,’ she joked, as showrunners cut the clip in question.

In its place, a sequence of stills showing Swift performing populated the broadcast.

The album, titled The Life of a Showgirl, is the singer’s 12th. A release date has not yet been announced.

As for the broadcast, it went on as usual.

Shimkus told hosts Ainsley Earhardt, Brian Kilmeade, and Lawrence Jones  that ‘Swifties’ can expect the new release ‘soon.’

‘Those are headlines. Back to you.’

Daily Mail contacted Fox News for comment.

The footage from the fight recorded in Cincinnati, meanwhile, has ignited controversy across the country, calling attention to increased incidents of violent crime in certain cities.

A seventh suspect related to the incident, which occurred on July 26, was arrested on Monday on charges of alleged aggravated riot and aggravated robbery. He was identified Tuesday as 32-year-old Gregory Wright.

The six other defendants were indicted by a grand jury for their alleged roles in the conflict last week.

They are: Patrick Rosemond, 38, Jermaine Matthews, 39, Montianez Merriweather, 34, DeKyra Vernon, 24, Dominique Kittle, 37, and Aisha Devaughn, 25.

The violent encounter was captured on camera and has since caused controversy across the country. Pictured, one of the victims, a woman only named as 'Holly'. She was punched to the point of unconsciousness during the July 26 encounter, which remains under investigation

Each are charged with three counts of alleged felonious assault, three charges of assault and two charges of aggravated rioting, the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office said.

‘What I saw on video is not the Cincinnati I know and love,’ Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich said in a statement laying bare the charges last week. ‘These charges hold those involved in the attack accountable.’

Daily Mail has reached out to the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office for comment.
