Rubio says US military ‘well on our way’ to achieving goals in Iran

On Monday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio reaffirmed the objectives of the ongoing military operation in Iran, emphasizing the mission’s significance and the dedication of American troops.

“Our exceptional men and women in uniform are carrying out a mission that is both effective and impactful,” Rubio stated, underscoring the critical nature of the operation.

He stressed the importance of keeping the American public informed, reiterating the mission’s purpose. “It’s crucial for everyone to understand why our military, renowned as the greatest in history, is engaged in this operation,” he remarked.

Rubio outlined the mission’s primary goals: “We aim to dismantle the regime’s missile capabilities by targeting their missiles and launchers, destroying the factories that produce these weapons, and neutralizing their naval forces.”

He further elaborated on the threat posed by the Iranian regime, noting, “Currently, we are witnessing the danger this clerical regime presents to both the region and the world. They are attempting to hold the world hostage.”

‘They are attacking neighboring countries and embassies. It is a terrorist government. A terroristic regime, and we’re seeing them conduct terrorism using nation-state elements. Using weapons like missiles and one-way attack drones, and the objective of this mission is to destroy their ability to continue do that, and we’re well on our way to achieving that objective every day with overwhelming force, with overwhelming precision.’
