A MASSIVE blast hits the al-Ahli Arab hospital in Gaza.
It is an awful tragedy, with claims of more than 500 people killed.
Some had been sheltering there, thinking the place was safe.
Reporting from Gaza, the BBC’s correspondent Jon Donnison had no doubt who was responsible.
It was “hard to see past” Israel and the IDF, he announced live on air.
But it probably wasn’t Israel.
The Israelis have published what they say are taped recordings of Hamas admitting the rocket was probably fired from their own side.
By their associates in Islamic Jihad.
They point blank deny the attack, as you might expect.
US President Joe Biden agreed, saying the rocket was probably fired by “the other team”.
Donnison is a brave bloke to be reporting from Gaza.
But he rushed to what was most likely the wrong judgment because of the same bias against Israel that has permeated every minute of the BBC’s reporting of this crisis.
This news came on the same day that the BBC announced that it had taken six Arabic language journalists off the air for liking posts and tweets which praised the revolting Hamas attack upon Israel on October 7. Six of them!
One post by a reporter at BBC News Arabic called that depraved and murderous assault a “morning of hope”.
Are we to believe their sympathies and appalling bias were not known before this week?
It also comes only a few days after another BBC reporter, Adnan El Bursh, broke down in tears when reporting about the Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks.
It must undoubtedly be horribly emotive for the bloke but does it seem to you the essence of unbiased reporting?
And during all of this conflict the BBC has, disgracefully, refused to call Hamas what they are and what everybody else (except Hamas) know them to be — terrorists.
It is a downright lie from the BBC that they “never” use the term terrorist.
They have used it very often — whenever there is an attack on British soil, for example.
Long-standing bias
As the independent American media-monitoring organisation, the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting and Analysis, said: “These revelations about BBC Arabic employees go hand in hand with the outlet’s ongoing conduct during the war.
“The BBC has repeatedly whitewashed the practice of targeting Jewish civilians in Israel even before the current escalation.”
The BBC has been eviscerated by Britain’s Chief Rabbi, the Prime Minister and other government ministers.
There has been a protest outside New Broadcasting House.
But still it continues to broadcast hopelessly biased and tendentious reports from Gaza and Israel.
Part of the problem, undoubtedly, is the BBC’s woke decision to use locals from “developing” countries as reporters.
They probably think this is “decolonising” and better than using Brits.
But we need news reported from a British perspective — because we are, er, British.
But that’s not the main problem, even though it always grates with me.
The big issue is the BBC’s long-standing bias against Israel and its naive sympathies for Palestine.
This crisis has opened the eyes of many to the brutality and depravity of Hamas.
It has also proved beyond all reasonable doubt that the BBC is utterly incapable of broadcasting fairly.
Telly quizzers can be green
HERE’S the latest howler from the telly game shows.
On Tipping Point a bloke was asked to give the colour you would associate with avocados and limes.
His answer? “Yellow”.
It sometimes seems to me that the only things these contestants know anything about is TV.
999ers acting f*nny
A WOMAN firefighter in the, er, genteel seaside resort of Redcar has just won a sexual harassment hearing.
What annoyed her was when the male firefighters did what they called the “f*nny run”.
This was driving the fire engine along the beach road so they could look at the women sunbathing.

What I liked about this story was the men’s excuse.
They said they drove along the beach road because they liked to see the smiles on the children’s faces.
Have to say, I live only a couple of miles from Redcar.
And once lived there, right next to the beach.
And I don’t think I’ve ever seen any women sunbathing.
But then I haven’t seen many smiling kids, either.
THE 2003 Britney Spears single Every Time – revisited by fans following her revelation that she had an abortion after getting pregnant with Justin Timberlake’s baby – contains some perplexing lyrics.
“Every time I try to fly,” she sings, “I fall without my wings.”
Well, yes. You would. Don’t try to fly without your wings.
Just asking for trouble.
MORE and more coastal towns and villages are taking action against holidaymakers.
Banning trippers from bringing their dogs on the beach, for example.
Or outlawing holiday homes. In the end, everyone ends up gnawing off the hand that feeds them.
If it wasn’t for those holidaymakers you seem to hate so much, you Cornish would still be down the tin mines.
And the Norfolk residents would still be scrabbling for a living selling eels.
Kurds’ silent misery
WHILE all eyes are on Gaza, another bunch of Muslims are being bombed out of existence.
This is Turkey’s exciting “Operation Claw-Lock”.
The Turks gained a notable success with more than 50 air strikes on Kurdish targets, resulting in 15 civilian deaths over two days.
The country’s horrible leader, Recep Erdogan, has vowed to increase the number of bombings of the Kurds, having been apparently disappointed by last year’s rather frugal 2,200 air strikes.
The deaths of these largely Yazidi Muslims at the hands of the neighbourhood bully has seemingly passed without comment by the usual flag-waving pro-Palestine lefties – Miriam Margolyes, the Muslim Council of Britain, the BBC and indeed the United Nations.
I NOTICE from a new opinion poll that far more young people in the UK sympathise with Palestine than they do with Israel.
The figures are almost exactly reversed for older Brits.
And it has helped to lead me to a conclusion.
If you’re not sure what side to take on any given issue, find out what young people are thinking and do the opposite.
They are always wrong.
This extends to wokery, race issues, the environment, income tax . . . pretty much everything.
Always wrong.
Brexit for Oz
THE Aussies went to the polls at the weekend.
It was a referendum on a piece of racist legislation. It was giving extra powers to Aborigines.
The smug lefties were certain it would go through.
But it was profoundly defeated by the silent majority. There were plenty of Aborigines who voted against it, too.
This has been called Australia’s Brexit moment. I think every country deserves a Brexit moment.
When the public speak up and instead of saying didgeridoo, say didgeriDON’T.
ENGLAND were magnificent in beating the Italians on Tuesday night.
I’d go so far as to say it was the best performance from our national side since we won 3-2 in Spain almost exactly five years ago.
And the dates are no coincidence.
One foreign football manager said, years ago: “England, the lions of autumn, are but lambs come the spring.”
And he had a point. Almost all of our best results over the years have come in the autumn months.
Including, of course, that wonderful 5-1 win over Germany in Munich back in September 2001.
The problem, of course, is that tournaments tend to be held in the summer months . . .
