THE wife of a Discovery Channel star who gushed about his marriage online has been arrested for allegedly hiring a hitman to kill him.
Aaron Goodwin’s wife, Victoria Goodwin, was arrested last week, just days after the two celebrated Valentine’s Day with a mini golf date.
She’s been accused of devising a murder-for-hire scheme where she arranged for a prison inmate to target her husband while he filmed his show Ghost Adventures, an arrest report seen by TMZ revealed.
Cops unraveled the sick alleged plot after confiscating a cell phone from the inmate and sifting through his messages.
In one eerie text sent to the inmate, Victoria allegedly wrote, “Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce.”
The angered wife is accused of sharing all of Aaron’s filming details, including the times and places he’d be on set in California.
The arrest record also alleges that she set aside $11,515 to pay the hitman, who texted someone else outside the prison about the plot in October.
He said, “He’s asleep right now in the hotel room […] I need to know what’s going on. Can I get an update. Was it done?”
Aaron was never attacked, and said he was shocked to hear of the plot after his wife was arrested, he told TMZ.
He said he thought his marriage was solid, and, based on the couple’s social media presence, nothing seemed amiss.
Now-shocking posts on Aaron and Victoria’s Instagram give an inside look at the love he had for his wife of over two years.
On Valentine’s Day, Aaron posted a picture of her playing mini golf and wrote that she “always beats me” with a heart emoji.
And weeks before that, the Ghost Adventures star rang in the new year by sharing a romantic kiss with his beloved bride.
Victoria posted even more pictures of her husband and called him her “Valentine.”
In October, the month the alleged hitman texted someone about Aaron, Victoria posted a picture of her husband asleep on an airplane.
“Does anyone recognize this guy? He’s cute,” she captioned the beaming selfie of the couple.
EERIE PAST
Aaron and Victoria got married at Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion ride in California in August 2022, and the television star hasn’t been shy about celebrating their love ever since.
This last August, Aaron shared a wedding throwback picture with the caption, “2 years ago today, I got to marry my best friend.
“I’m so lucky to have you in my life hun.”
Aaron co-hosts his show that’s run for 28 seasons with paranormal investigators Zak Bagans and Nick Groff.
Bagans shared his love for his co-star after the arrest and said that he’s trying to support Aaron during this sensitive time.
When Victoria was arrested and confronted with the evidence, she denied ever wanting to kill him, according to the arrest records.
She claimed she was fantasizing about separating herself from Aaron since they were going through a rough patch and didn’t remember ever sending the messages.
When asked about her plans to send the inmate money, she claimed the payout was so he could buy more cell phones.
Victoria is still in jail being held on a $100,000 bail, and she’s been charged with solicitation to commit murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
