Dem Governor Pritzker Confirms Trump to Deploy Illinois National Guardsmen - but to Where?

Everyone who hasn’t been living under a flat rock in Patagonia for the last few years knows that Chicago is a mess. Under a series of increasingly incompetent mayors, the Windy City has become a crime-ridden place and, thanks to the “sanctuary” policies in place, a haven for illegal aliens of every variety.

The Trump administration sent Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) in to fix that latter problem. But ICE has been facing some heavy opposition from leftist protestors and agitators. President Trump has mentioned the possibility of sending in more federal officers or even the military to help straighten this mess out.

So, on Saturday, when Illinois Governor JB Pritzker complains that the Trump administration has ordered 300 members of the Illinois National Guard to active duty, one has to wonder if Chicago will be their destination, and what they’ll be doing when they get there.

The Trump administration plans to federalize 300 members of the Illinois National Guard, Democratic Gov. JB Pritzker said Saturday.

Pritzker said the guard received word from the Pentagon in the morning that the troops would be called up. He did not specify when or where they would be deployed, but President Donald Trump has long threatened to send troops to Chicago.

“This morning, the Trump Administration’s Department of War gave me an ultimatum: call up your troops, or we will,” Pritzker said in a statement. “It is absolutely outrageous and un-American to demand a Governor send military troops within our own borders and against our will.”

Except, Mr. Governor, that a major city in your state is completely out of control, crazed lunatics are interfering with and even attacking federal agents who are carrying out their lawful tasks; Your primary job is protecting the liberty and property of the people of Illinois – and you’re failing to do that.
