A GROUP of workers have recalled the horror of being hired to help move a dismembered body from a home in Los Angeles.

“I started seeing body parts, a belly button,” one worker told local NBC affiliate KNBC.

“I was astonished. Of course, I felt bad. We had been tricked.”

Workers told the outlet they were hired on Tuesday by Haskell, who has not yet been charged and is due in court on November 13.

The group said they were paid $500 by Haskell to dispose of three giant trash bags from inside his garage in Tarzana, about 24 miles outside of downtown Los Angeles.

Haskell told the workers that the bags were filled with rocks, according to KNBC.

But the workers said the trash bags felt like they were filled with meat.

“When we picked up the bags, we could tell they weren’t rocks,” one worker told the outlet in Spanish.

The workers said the bags were soggy and weighed about 50 pounds each.

When they realized that something didn’t feel right, they stopped to look inside the bags.

That’s when they discovered body parts.

The group of workers returned to Haskell’s house where they dropped the bags back off and left the money they had been paid.

Haskell tried to tell the workers that the body parts were Halloween props, according to KNBC.

The workers then went to two different police stations – the California Highway Patrol station on De Soto and the LAPD Topanga Station – but were turned away from both and instead were told to call 911.

The group feared for their lives, they told KNBC.

Haskell was arrested on Wednesday after a dismembered torso was found in one of the bags, according to KNBC.

The outlet reported that the torso was found by someone looking through the garbage in Encino, about four miles from Tarzana.

Haskell’s home was searched and law enforcement sources told KNBC that blood was found inside, indicative of a murder.

‘SOMETHING SEEMED SO OFF’

Meanwhile, Haskell’s wife, Mei, and her parents – Gaoshan Li and YanXiang Wang – remain missing.

They all lived at the Tarzana home, along with three young children who have been placed with the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, police told KNBC.

“The reason we’re concerned with their whereabouts is they would normally be home during these hours,” Detective Efren Gutierrez of the Los Angeles Police Department said on Wednesday.

“Attempts have been made to contact them by cell phone … no answers,” Gutierrez said of the parents.

He also said that Mei remains “unaccounted for” and that “attempts have been made to call her phone [and] still no answer.”

A friend of Mei’s told KABC that she met Haskell when she invited the couple to a house party, but wasn’t a fan.

“They came there… very nice, beautiful, but the husband… I was shocked,” the friend said.

“Something seemed so off. Something seemed so weird.

“I kept saying to my family, ‘Something is wrong with her husband.’”

Haskell is the son of Sam Haskell Sr., the former CEO of the Miss America Organization who resigned after a 2017 email scandal.

The father is also a former celebrity agent who founded Magnolia Hill Productions, a company that has produced various Dolly Parton specials.

In addition to the missing adults, police are searching for two missing vehicles: a white Volkswagen Tiguan with license plate number 9ANC890 and a white Nissan Pathfinder with license plate number 7FRM190.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division at 213-486-6890.
