GYPSY Rose Blanchard admitted that she thought about ending her marriage to her husband after the couple had a major disagreement.
Gypsy said she took off her wedding ring and considered herself separated from her husband, Ryan Anderson, after she began talking to an ex-boyfriend.
The revelation was made in a series of interviews featured in the Lifetime docuseries, The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard.
The final episode of the six-part series tackles Gypsy Rose’s marriage.
She and Ryan tied the knot in June 2022 while Gypsy Rose was serving her prison sentence for her involvement in her mother’s murder in 2015.
However, just three months after the wedding, Gypsy Rose contemplated getting an annulment.
“Reality started to set in a little bit more,” she said on the show.
“A situation arose where we had an argument over somebody from her past,” said Ryan, though he clarified that the other man wasn’t Gypsy Rose’s ex-fiance, a man named Ken.
“It wasn’t Ken, but an ex contacted her out of the blue,” Ryan said.
“When I didn’t like that she was talking to him again, she labeled me as controlling, like her mom.”
Gypsy Rose echoed his words, saying the disagreement was about “an ex-boyfriend of mine.”
“His voice got raised a decibel too loud and I fell apart,” she said.
Gypsy Rose said her stepmother, Kristy, suggested she get the marriage annulled.
“For two weeks, I didn’t wear my wedding ring and I said some really mean things to him, that I don’t feel our relationship is going to work out, I don’t feel he was enough for me,” she said.
During that time, Gypsy Rose reached out to her friends through email to tell them about the possible annulment and one of them reportedly leaked their conversation to the press.
Despite the news making headlines, Gypsy Rose and Ryan were able to resolve the issue.
Ryan said he visited his wife in prison, saying that if she wanted the annulment, she should tell him to his face.
Once he was there, he professed his love for Gypsy Rose, asking her if she was still in love with him, which she said she was.
She suggested they seek therapy to which Ryan agreed.
“That has been the last argument that we have had,” said Gypsy Rose, who is now living with Ryan after she was released from prison in December 2023.
NEW LIFE
Gypsy was sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to plotting to kill her mom with her-then boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, who fatally stabbed Dee Dee as Gypsy hid in a bathroom.
Dee Dee had convinced doctors and family members that Gypsy suffered from leukemia and muscular dystrophy and required a wheelchair to move around, but in reality, she was never sick.
Godejohn stabbed Dee Dee 17 times as she slept and the mother was found lying face down in a pool of blood inside her Missouri home on June 14, 2015.
The couple was captured by police a day later and Godejohn was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for his involvement in the murder.
Gypsy pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was released early on parole on December 28, 2023.
Since her release, Gypsy Rose has enjoyed new-found fame and now boasts nearly 8 million followers on Instagram.
Fans were sent into a frenzy this week after Ryan shared a cryptic post about his “little family.”
“Me and my little family cuddling together,” read the caption of a photo that appears to show Ryan’s hand resting on Gypsy Rose’s stomach.
Followers immediately speculated that Gypsy Rose was pregnant.
“Is she pregnant?” one person commented in all caps.
A second wrote, also in all caps, “OMG there is no f**king way she is pregnant,” along with a sob emoji.
Gypsy Rose and Ryan have yet to comment on the speculation.
