DETAILS regarding the death of two boys have emerged, revealing the headspace of their mother hours before she shot them at home.
Tiffanie Lucas, 32, was accused of shooting and killing her sons, Maurice, 6 and Jayden, 9, in their bedroom.
Their neighbors, residents of a Bullitt County, Kentucky, opened up about some of Lucas’ and the boys’ last actions before the crime took place.
A neighbor revealed she’d seen the boys playing outside their home the night before they died, reports NBC affiliate WAVE.
She said that she’d spoken to Lucas and that she seemed “down,” even if she felt better by the end of the night.
The neighbor revealed she planned on approaching Lucas the following morning and that minutes later they saw the ambulance and Lucas on the ground in her yard.
Jayden and Maurice were found in their bedroom by a neighbor, who also saw the gun in the crime scene.

The two were rushed to the hospital but didn’t survive.
Members of the community have been mourning the loss of the children and have organized a vigil.
“We’re a really tight-knit community and everybody has just taken this loss really hard,” said Kim Miller, one of the organizers of the event, per WLKY.
“They had so much life left to live and they were beautiful little boys and to think they will not get to experience all the things in life that my son did and my grandson will.”
The kids’ bus driver, Londa Boggs, was horrified when she learned the news.
“I lost it,” she said.
“I really did. The very thought that two children had to suffer that much.”
Tiffanie Lucas was charged with two counts of murder and is being held on a $2million bond.
She’s due on court this Tuesday.
