Secretary of War Pete Hegseth recently traveled to France to commemorate the anniversary of D-Day on Saturday.
During his visit, Hegseth was joined by his family as he met with World War II veterans who were being honored in Normandy for the 82nd anniversary of the historic event.
However, some media outlets like The Washington Post, along with certain left-leaning voices, appeared to critique Hegseth’s decision to bring his children along.
It’s worth considering whether similar scrutiny was applied when members of President Biden’s family accompanied him on official trips.
Ultimately, Hegseth paid for his family’s travel, making the issue a non-controversy. For his children, it was undoubtedly an invaluable educational opportunity.

Did these folks ask any questions when members of the Biden family were accompanying Biden regularly on trips?Â
But this was a non-controversy with Hegseth, since he was paying for the family. What a great learning experience for the kids.Â
