A CREATIVE family combined their sense of humor with a taste for horror this Halloween.

The Texas residents quickly went viral after they shared photos of their massive skeleton sporting a “defund the HOA” sign.

Homeowner’s Associations oversee the management of residential communities, often imposing rules for homeowner’s.

The Sipe family took the opportunity to mock some of the far-too-common HOA disputes.

Their front yard was overtaken by the large skeleton, along with a few smaller ones depicting spooky scenes.

One set of spiney-humans was seen holding an “overgrown cobweb,” with another seated spectator holding a sign that said “fine $8.”

A horse skeleton guarded over its foal, which was placed inside a trash can wearing a sign saying “visible trash can,” and “$$ fine.”

Leah Sipe decided to share her set of decorations on the “I Love Conroe” Facebook page October 13.

The photos received loads of attention, with many people leaving praise for the brave homeowners.

Sipe said that she decided to poke fun at typical residential disputes as her particular HOA has a record of imposing strict rules.

“The HOA here has always been strict,” Sipe told the Courier News.

She chose not to name the HOA subdivision for fear of retribution.

Sipe said that her and her husband moved into their home about a year ago, and they have already received many notices for violations.

She even recalled a time that she even received a violation notice for trash cans the day she was giving birth.

So far, the HOA has not reached out to the Sipe family to comment on the new display.

The Sipe’s are expecting a notice from the HOA to remove the controversial skeletons.

“The decorations are really just a joke,” Sipe said. “But no doubt I’ll get a letter about it soon.”
