A PAIR of homeowners have discovered a seriously eerie note that was hidden out of sight.
The warning prompted the homeowners to decode a series of numbers that could help them solve the riddle.
When Anita Rainier and her husband moved into their new home in Seattle, Washington, they didn’t expect this hidden surprise.
She and her husband were talking about doing some renovations around the home when she noticed a curious note stashed away at the top of a cabinet, as reported by Newsweek.
“My husband and I were just chatting in the kitchen, deciding how we should set up one particular display cabinet,” Rainier said.
“I got down at an angle and suddenly let out a cry of ‘what the f*** is that?'”
She quickly pointed it out to her husband.
“It was this really well-hidden bit of paper tightly tucked into the top of the cabinet, totally out of sight unless you got all the way down like I was looking up,” she said.
It was a piece of paper that had been folded over with a scary five-word warning written on the inside: “Don’t look under the floor.”
The couple immediately paused their renovation plans, but not because they were scared.
“It was both hilarious and kind of exciting to think there might be some hidden mystery here,” she said.
The couple also discovered a series of seemingly random numbers written on the back of the paper: “29065300489382.”
“What we thought was interesting was there were no results when we Googled the number,” Rainier said.
“We were expecting it to be some number relating to at least something like a part number the prior owner scribbled down, at least some kind of hit, but with nothing.”
The Rainiers believed that the previous owners had left all these little clues as a scavenger hunt.
“We divided it by our unit number, ZIP code, year the building was built, etc., to see if we could get a whole number or phone number or something,” she said. “No luck!”

After coming up with zero answers, the couple turned to the internet in hopes that someone else would be able to solve the mystery.
They posted about the note on Reddit and got a couple of takers willing to take on the challenge.
Although no one had a concrete answer, several offered their take on the warning note and the series of random digits.
One Redditor said: “2906530 is a bolt action slug shotgun. 2005-(048938) is the library of congress identifier for a Private Investigator handbook ‘The Private Investigator Handbook: The Do-It-Yourself Guide to Protect Yourself, Get Justice, or Get Even.'”
There was a consensus that the previous homeowners were trolling the new residents.
The Rainiers said they would be putting the mystery to rest soon: “We’re out of theories. Odds are, someday we’re going to take a look under the floor.”
