The 21-year-old had one hand on the handlebars and his phone in the other – and although the lanes look largely empty a large truck is closing in behind.

Disaster strikes when the lorry suddenly smashes into the sales promoter from behind, throwing him off his bike and sending him rolling onto the roadside.

Emergency medics pronounced Mohammad dead at the scene.

He was from Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, and was travelling with pals to Kuantan for a motorcycle gathering.

Maran Police Chief Deputy Superintendent, Mohamad Zamri Mohamad Zaber stated: “The accident occurred when Sharfie’s Yamaha Y15 grazed into a lorry that was travelling in the same direction towards Kuantan.

“Both vehicles were in the slow lane. The victim was thrown off his machine and landed on the road.

“He died on the spot.”

The 47-year-old trucker was uninjured and likely didn’t see Mohammad as he plied the East Coast Expressway.

The case is under investigation as suspected death by reckless or dangerous driving.

Mohammad’s death on March 2nd is the second in connection with the two-day RXZ Fighter motorcycle event.

On March 1st night market operator, Muhammad Lokman Abdul Aziz, 29, was killed after crashing his motorbike into a metal railing along the same road.

It comes as a desperate mum set up a fundraiser to bring her son home for treatment after he suffered horrific injuries in a motorbike crash.

Adrian Wallace, 34, was hit by a car while he was on holiday in Phuket and now remains in a coma, his mum Julie Hopkins told The Sun.

With Adrian “unresponsive” the family have no way of knowing if he had medical insurance or how to access it and now face fees of up to £64,000.
