THIS is the jaw-dropping moment a plane plunges to the ground and erupts into flames next to a beach – killing one and injuring seven.

The jet crashed into tourist hotspot Ubatuba, Sao Paulo after attempting to land at the nearby airport.

The plane went crashing through security fences of the air terminal and was captured on CCTV skidding across two busy roads before erupting into flames on the beach.

The pilot, who has died, reportedly couldn’t stop the speed of the plane.

All four passengers on the aircraft, including two adults and two children, were miraculously rescued alive in the horror incident.

One of the adults is in serious condition and a child is being monitored, local media reports.

Three other persons who were strolling along the promenade of Cruzeiro Beach were injured.

The concessionaire of Ubatuba Airport, Rede Voa, said the weather conditions were poor at the time of the accident from rain, causing a wet runway.

The Brazilian Air Force said that experts from the Center for the Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents were sent to the scene to investigate and determine the cause of the crash.
