Who were the members of the Bling Ring?

The California-based crime group was made up of five core members, including:

It is believed that Lee was the mastermind behind the robberies, and as a result, she spent 16 months in prison, which was the longest amount of time among the Blind Ring members.

Prugo was behind bars for one year, while Neiers served just 32 days.

Ames and Tamayo were sentenced to probation and community service for their role in the heists.

How did the Bling Ring get caught?

During the Bling Ring’s one-year crime spree, they stole more than $3million worth of cash, clothes, and jewelry, among other items.

It was not until they robbed the home of The Hills star Audrina Patridge that police were able to close in on the suspects.

The group was caught on Patridge’s security footage, which she later posted online.

Someone then saw the footage and tipped off the police, which led to the arrests, according to Time.

Where can I watch The Ringleader: The Case of the Bling Ring?

The story of the Bling Ring’s crime spree has been retold several times in films and documentaries.

The Ringleader: The Case of the Bling Ring is among those retellings, but what makes it different is that it’s the first time Lee, the alleged mastermind, has spoken out on camera.

“As a teen, I was chasing love in all the wrong places and by the time I realized, it was too late and I was in prison,” Lee told Us Weekly.

“I truly feel prison was a blessing in disguise — the best thing that ever happened to me.

“It made me realize you can only trust yourself at the end of the day.”

The Ringleader: The Case of the Bling Ring can be streamed on Max, formerly known as HBO Max, with an active subscription.
