During a recent airing of “The Ingraham Angle” on Fox News, Tom Homan, former border czar under President Donald Trump, commended Trump for his efforts in enhancing safety across Washington, D.C.
Homan expressed hope that other U.S. cities, particularly Chicago, would take inspiration from the strides made in the nation’s capital.
Host Laura Ingraham remarked on the noticeable change in D.C., sharing insights from long-term residents. “Tom, it’s incredible. I’ve been here on and off for 30 years, and locals are saying this feels like a dream, the way it should always have been. Was it really so stringent?” she queried.
Homan responded with high praise for Trump, declaring him the greatest president of his lifetime. “Promises made and promises delivered,” he stated, recounting his own experiences living in D.C. for 15 years and highlighting the city’s transformation into one of the safest in the nation. Significant achievements include over 16,000 arrests, the removal of nearly 2,000 firearms, and the apprehension of three dozen murder suspects, showcasing the capital as a model city under Trump’s leadership.
Homan then urged cities like Chicago to consider Trump’s assistance, labeling their current state as a “shooting gallery” each weekend. He emphasized the need for a bipartisan approach to safety, suggesting other big-city mayors, including those from New York City and Detroit, should embrace Trump’s proposals to ensure safer urban environments.
