ONGOING wars around the world have pushed one doomsdayer to spend $75,000 in supplies and bunker preparation.

Rowan Mackenzie, 38, took to TikTok to reveal that she has been prepping for an inevitable doomsday for nearly 12 years.

While the TikToker had to learn much of her current practices through trial and error, she uses her platform today to help educate other potential preppers.

“My friends and family think I’m crazy, but when the time inevitably comes, they won’t be calling me crazy then,” she said of the naysayers.

Between the Ukraine War and the war between Israel and Palestine, Mackenzie has been feeling the pressure of potential escalation leading to disaster.

“I’m preparing as a whole, for war, inflation, nuclear disaster and all-out chaos,” said Mackenzie.

She began prepping for emergencies 12 years ago, spending $10,000 on an underground bunker in her basement.

In her bunker, she keeps everything she and her family might need, from food and water to weaponry and defense.

In total, she has spent around $10,000 on weapons and advises others to make sure they have plenty in order to hunt and defend themselves.

“‘The number one must for any bunker is defense. I would highly recommend having a few guns and knives in your bunker at all times, along with ample amounts of ammunition,” said Mackenzie.

This time around she spent over seven times that amount just to fully stock her bunker.

“Our stock should last us a year or more [once used and not replenished] and I’ve had new plans made to build a second bunker in case one is compromised,” she explained of her plans.

But stocking up is not all she splurged on, she also made sustainability-focused renovations.

“I’ve got a new hydroponics system, which is a technique of growing plants using a water-based nutrient solution, rather than soil,” she began explaining.

“I’ve updated our electricity and plumbing, as well as our weaponry stash … and we’re in the process of getting a clean air system installed.”

Mackenzie also has made sure the bunker is furnished and actually finds it to be quite welcoming.

“The bunker has been fully furnished to feel like a ‘home away from home’,” explained the prepper.

Since food can go bad, Mackenzie institutes what she calls a “flawless,” rotation system.

“My food stock is forever replenishing, as we also eat daily from it to prevent spoilage, but we’ve added another year’s worth to it already,” she explained.

She also tries to buy as many long-lasting food products for her stock as she can, items such as beans, rice, chips and rice cakes.

According to the prepper, most of her stock will last up to 25 years.

“I need to ready myself, as well as my family, for any disaster situation,” she explained her reasoning for all this effort simply.

She also has a number of tips and tricks for others looking to prepare for doomsday.

“My biggest advice; don’t panic. Breathe, make a list and execute,” she instructed.

“There is no better feeling than knowing you are ready for anything that could happen and having your family protected. The main thing is to remain calm and have a plan.”

Some people have criticized Mackenzie, accusing her of hoarding and being wasteful.

“I was just told that I was a hoarder and it’s people like me, who make it hard for others to feed their children because I’m taking all the food off the shelves,” she explained.

To her, hoarding and preparing are vastly different.

“There’s a huge difference – I’m here to inform, I’m a good person, I’m a really giving person and I would never do anything to prevent a mother from feeding her child,” she ended her defense video.
