CANDY lovers have been left outraged after some customers claimed they found bugs crawling around in their Halloween treats.
TikTok user Veronica was disgusted when she reportedly found the small white critters crawling around in the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups she bought at Walmart.
“Just letting people know to please be careful buying the Reese’s,” she said in the video that’s been viewed two million times since it was uploaded to the TikTok account @veronicaaispuro31 earlier this month.
After showing her viewers some of the bugs, Veronica unwrapped a fresh one on camera.
“I’m gonna open few of them so you guys can see that it’s not us that did this gross thing,” she said.
“This is just nasty.”
Commenters were also outraged by Victoria’s claims.
“Wonder if these are last year’s candies they put back on the shelf,” one said.
“That isn’t just gonna be from Walmart!” said another.
“That had to come from the company that made them.”
But some doubted the poster’s claims.

“Those all look opened and re-wrapped, but that’s just me,” one said.
Veronica wasn’t the first TikToker to post a video that claims to show bugs crawling around a Reese’s cup.
A similar clip was uploaded to the platform by user @official_dribbler in May 2022.
“I JUST BOUGHT THESE,” the poster wrote over the video, where a small bug appears to be resting on top of the candy.
“Oh my God!” said the TikToker, who appeared to be at a loss for words.
“I can’t… What is that?”
A commenter on that clip claimed they’d had a similar experience.
“Had it happen once,” the TikToker said.
“They’re still my favorites… just the ones without the crawlers in them.”
A different commenter said they’d be “heartbroken” if they found a bug in their candy.
Walmart and The Hershey Company, which owns the Reese’s brand, didn’t respond to The U.S. Sun’s requests for comment.
