A WORKER has been pulled over by an HOA where they don’t live.
Sanchez Home and Yard Service were doing landscaping for a client when a neighbor told them they were in violation of the HOA.
“Some person just walked down the street and said ‘Hey do you know that you’re in violation of HOAS,'” a worker said on the company’s YouTube.
“I explained to them no I didn’t because I don’t live in the neighborhood.”
The neighbor went to the homeowner of the house to tell them that work is only allowed on certain days of the week and they were in violation of the rules.
The yard service was at the home to remove dried brush and other trimmings, which could become a fire hazard in warmer temperatures.
The job had to get done soon because they couldn’t just leave the brush out if it was dangerous.
Still, the neighbors in the HOA wanted the workers to leave the neighborhood.

“A couple of people in the neighborhood, they’re walking by, they didn’t want us in the neighborhood,” the worker said.
“The homeowner said we’ve got to get this done.”
The workers attempted to stay out of sight of neighbors while completing their work, but they couldn’t escape the HOA.
“I think they’re the neighborhood police without a badge,” the worker said.
As they finished working they were continually approached by neighbors asking them to leave.
Comments on the video compared HOAs to police officers and said they are harsher than the military.
“I was in Military housing for about 18 years and the CONTROL by HOAs is FAR MORE EXTREME than any military base!!!” one comment said.
“As a retired Deputy I’d never live in a HOA. As a cop you follow the spirit of the law, not the letter of the law. HOA’s are ruthless and non-flexible,” another comment said.
