YOU just might need to hold your breath walking through this skinny home in Illinois that takes “living tight” to a whole new meaning.
Just outside of Chicago in the suburb of Deerfield lies a surprising and unusual-looking house that measures at just three feet wide on one end.
Also known as the “Pie House,” this skinny house has gone viral on social media several times for its odd shape.
While the front of the house may look like a normal suburban home, that illusion fades as soon as you view it from the side.
Located at 970 Chestnut Drive, the skinny home is bigger than people might think.
The entire home measures at approximately 1,600 square feet and features two king-sized bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms.
Listing agent Alan Berlow of Coldwell Banker Realty, told the New York Post in 2020 that there is plenty of room in the home.
“The room sizes are actually fairly normal,” Berlow said, revealing that the master bedroom is 19-feet wide, while the second bedroom is 17-feet wide.
Featuring lots of natural light from its many windows, the home also has room for a large dining table to seat eight.
The bottom floor has nine-foot tall ceilings and plenty of space for your favorite couch and television set up.

Residents will find these high ceilings throughout the entire home, as well as plenty of closet storage.
Additionally, the home features a large outside patio area, when you are looking for a little extra space.
The home sold in August 2020 for approximately $260,000, according to the New York Post.
It had originally been listed for $269,900.
However, those owners did not appear to stay long as a listing from RedFin revealed the house was last sold in May 2021, for $295,000.
Currently, the website estimates that the home is now worth around $398,494.
Several TikTok videos have gone viral for showcasing the unusual-looking home, as many users were shocked by its appearance.
“That’s not a house, that’s a hallway,” one user wrote on a video that has since been made private.
“One gust of wind and it’s all over,” another said.
On a separate video, one TikToker said they would be scared to live in the home.
“I’d be scared it would fall over. It looked like it was leaning,” they wrote.
“I never seen anything like this!” another person chimed in.
