A legendary 1980s rocker famed for his flowing, long hair made a rare public appearance in Los Angeles.

The Canadian-born singer, who became a household name as the frontman of Skid Row, was hard to miss while passing through LAX over the weekend.

One unmistakable clue to his identity was the ‘Youth Gone Wild’ tattoo he wore proudly, a nod to Skid Row’s enduring hit of the same name.

His rock career remains very much active. The veteran performer is still touring and has been hitting the road with Twisted Sister for dates around the country.

At the height of his rock-star appeal, he also caught the attention of Christina Applegate. In 1989, the actress famously departed an awards ceremony with him after arriving alongside Brad Pitt.

Can you identify the rock star?

The answer is Sebastian Bach.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Bach’s representatives for comment.

Bach was photographed walking through LAX with his recognizable ‘Youth Gone Wild’ tattoo on full display.

Youth Gone Wild was among the band’s hits but was etched into his arm when the group was still a ‘complete unknown.’

‘I believed in that song with all my heart before anybody else did that I know about,’ he told Guitar International in 2014.

‘A lot of people think I got that tattoo after we had sold a million copies of the record. I got it when we were completely unknown, when nobody knew that song. That’s when I got it.’

Thanks in part to that song, as well as hits 18 and Life and I Remember You, Skid Row enjoyed smash success.

Amid his rising star, one constant remained in Bach’s life, his long hair.

‘It’s like a lawn,’ he told GQ in 2016. ‘Just f**king leave it. Let it go. Do you ever see bums with short hair? No, they’ve all got kick-ass long fucking hair, lying in the street. Fucking let it be a bum.’

‘If you must know the truth, at my age it’s necessary for me to have the Brazilian blowout,’ he clarifies. ‘This is the Brazilian blowout, ladies.’

Now on tour again with Twisted Sister, Bach continues to make headlines even years after his Skid Row heyday.

Earlier this year he issued an apology after Christina Applegate revealed she left the 1989 MTV Video Music Awards with Bach despite arriving with then-boyfriend Brad Pitt as her date.

In an interview with Billboard, Bach said he was sorry if he ‘hurt anybody’ over the imbroglio.

Bach said he ‘was very surprised’ when Applegate’s story became public in her memoir You with the Sad Eyes.

‘I was a single guy on tour, in a band, and I met a lot of girls and I apologize if I hurt her…If I hurt anybody,’ he added.

‘When you’re young you get thrown into the whirlwind of rock ‘n’ roll, meeting a lot of people and you better hold on tight. It’s like being on a roller coaster…,’ he observed. ‘It was a long time ago. If I hurt anybody, I apologize for it.’
