FOX News journalist Jacqui Heinrich has spilled the details about her surprise engagement to Pennsylvania Representative Brian Fitzpatrick.

The couple, who have a 15-year age gap, announced yesterday that they’re planning to tie the knot after a scenic proposal in a lavender field in France.

“The smell was just so fragrant. It’s a memory that will be seared into my brain for life,” she said of the day. “It’s hard to even put into words just how gorgeous it really was. It felt like a fairy tale.”

The Republican congressman, 51, popped the question after Heinrich, 36, had said in a previous Boston Globe interview that she wanted to travel to the French Riviera to see the iconic purple fields.

But plans were almost foiled after President Donald Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” proposal needed his vote in Washington, D.C.

Although Heinrich suggested they go another time due to the vote, Fitzpatrick was determined to get to the fields exactly at sunrise.

“All the time I’ve known this man, he has never been desperate to see a field of flowers at dawn.”

After news broke of the engagement, Heinrich responded on X.

“Fact check: true,” she wrote while linking to the People article that announced the proposal.

She finished the post with heart emojis.

Hundreds of commenters congratulated the couple.

“The cooking was the dealmaker. Congrats, Jacqui,” Joe Concha, a Fox News contributor, wrote.

In 2021, the two had their first date during the Kennedy Center Honors.

Earlier this year, President Donald Trump posted about the White House correspondent, calling her “absolutely terrible.”

“She should be working for CNN, not Fox,” he wrote to Truth Social in March. “Not surprisingly, I later found out that she’s a fan of the White House Correspondents Association!”

And Fitzpatrick was one of only two Republicans who voted against Trump’s bill that his party strongly supported, alongside Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie.

Meet the hosts who appear on Fox News:

“It was the Senate’s amendments to Medicaid, in addition to several other Senate provisions, that altered the analysis for our PA-1 community,” Fitzpatrick said in a statement.

“The original House language was written in a way that protected our community; the Senate amendments fell short of our standard. I believe in, and will always fight for, policies that are thoughtful, compassionate, and good for our community.

“It is this standard that will always guide my legislative decisions.”

The couple plan to host a joint housewarming and engagement party, and hope to have a Catholic Church ceremony for the big day.

Heinrich’s engagement ring, a round diamond solitaire on a gold band, was picked out by Fitzpatrick, who she said didn’t ask for help from anyone.

“I was really surprised he got it spot-on,” she said.

“What I could have asked for, dreamed up myself, he did without even asking.”
