Jamie Foxx has revealed the romantic surprise he has planned for his pregnant Australian partner, Alyce Huckstepp, during his whirlwind appearance at Melbourne Cup Day.
The 58-year-old Hollywood star spoke exclusively to the Daily Mail from the Don Julio Hacienda marquee in Flemington’s prestigious Birdcage precinct on Tuesday. Foxx warmly discussed his relationship with the Queensland-born beauty and revealed that he had secretly flown her family to Melbourne for the occasion.
Clearly thrilled by the elaborate surprise, Jamie struggled to contain his excitement as he described the special gesture he had arranged for Alyce.
“My girl is from Australia, and I’m bringing her whole family here as a surprise,” he told the Daily Mail.
“They’re getting ready right now and I said, ‘When the cars come, follow my lead.’”
The Oscar-winning actor added proudly: “She’s my girl! I’m a romantic.”

The smitten star also offered a glimpse into his plans for the future, making it clear that he intends to build a life in Australia with Huckstepp.
“Of course, I’m moving. I’ma find a place,” he said.
Although Jamie was open about his feelings for Alyce, he declined to say whether the couple had already welcomed their first child together.
Instead, the Django Unchained star spoke about his excitement at becoming a father again.
“I feel great as a dad. I feel young!” he said with a smile.
Jamie’s appearance at Australia’s biggest race day had prompted plenty of speculation before the event, and he made a memorable entrance when he arrived at Flemington.
The Ray star commanded attention in a shimmering gold blazer featuring contrasting navy lapels, which he paired with tailored black trousers and a matching shirt.
Wearing dark sunglasses, Foxx brought unmistakable Hollywood glamour to the Birdcage precinct and quickly became a focal point among Melbourne Cup racegoers.

The actor remained in high spirits throughout the afternoon and was seen dancing enthusiastically with fashion entrepreneur Pip Edwards inside the Don Julio Hacienda marquee.

At one stage, the pair exchanged a playful high-five as they mingled with VIP guests and enjoyed the electric atmosphere surrounding the Melbourne Cup carnival.
Jamie and Alyce are preparing to welcome their first child together, although the baby will be the actor’s third child.
In May, sources confirmed to TMZ that Jamie and Alyce are ‘already several months along’ in their pregnancy journey, after rekindling their romance last year.
The couple’s baby joy comes three years after Jamie suffered a serious health scare caused by a bleed on the brain, which he later revealed publicly.
Jamie is already a father to two daughters. He welcomed Corinne, now 32, in 1994 with ex Connie Kline.
He shares Anelise, 17, with ex Kristin Grannis.
Jamie and Huckstepp first sparked up a romance in 2023 following Jamie’s six-year relationship with Dawson’s Creek star Katie Holmes, 47, which came to an end in 2019.

Back in January 2025, a source close to Jamie told PEOPLE that he and Huckstepp were no longer together after dating for a year and a half.
However, three months later in April, they ramped up reconciliation rumors on a public outing together.
The couple’s baby joy comes three years after Jamie was rushed to A&E in April 2023 after suffering a mystery ‘medical complication’, which his family chose to keep private at the time.
In December 2024 Jamie revealed exactly what happened to him and admitted he lost 20 days’ worth of memory and was unable to walk amid his terrifying health battle.
During an emotional scene on his Netflix special, What Had Happened Was… he recalled: ‘On April 11, I was having a bad headache, and I asked my boy for Aspirin.
‘I realised quickly that when you’re in a medical emergency, your boys don’t know what the f**k to do.’
