Despite his level of wealth, Jay-Z said that he didnāt want to lose focus on the more important things in life. He said his money wouldnāt matter if he didnāt have people around him.
Jay-Z said wealth wouldnāt matter without people around him
Though Jay-Z is a billionaire, he said that he doesnāt spend his life in pursuit of wealth.
āThatās not the endgame,ā he told The New York Times. āItās not about who got more money and who got more houses. Yes, you know, youāve earned it, buy what you want.ā
He said he wanted to help others, noting that his money wouldnāt mean anything if there werenāt people around him.
ā[D]onāt forget whatās important,ā he said. āWithout people, being rich would be very boring.ā
Jay-Z said that money would only positively affect his life if there were other people in it.
āNo one to share with, no one to have ā¦ You know what I mean?ā he asked. āYouād just be a rich person, one person on the planet ā just, like, well then what do you do?ā
