JEFFREY Epstein’s brother has insisted the paedo financier was “most likely murdered” as controversy has erupted over a “missing minute” of video.

Mark Epstein has rubbished the FBI’s claim his sibling took his own life while he was locked up in the Metropolitan Correctional Centre in New York City on August 10, 2019.

It comes as CCTV footage from inside the prison was released by the FBI intended to clear up rampant speculation and conspiracy theory about the billionaire’s death.

Instead, the footage features a missing minute between 11.58.59pm and midnight – leading to even more controversy and mystery.

Mark appeared on NewsNation on Tuesday and said he didn’t believe what the administration was saying and that Jeffrey had most likely been killed.

He said: “Every time they say something or do something to try to quash the fact that he was most likely murdered, they just put their foot further down their mouths.”

Mark slammed the FBI director as making a “stupid” statement as he hadn’t been in the room when the autopsy was carried out.

He said: “I mean, for instance, [FBI Director] Kash Patel in the congressional hearing, you know, he listed his credentials as a prosecutor and other such things and he said that it was a suicide. He said, ‘You know a suicide when you see it.’ You know, that’s basically what he said.

“Now, was Kash Patel in that autopsy room? No. Was Kash Patel in the prison when they found Jeffrey? No, I don’t think so, and if he was there that raises an even bigger question. When Kash Patel came out with that statement, I laughed at how stupid it was.”

Attorney General Pam Bondi explained that the lost minute in the CCTV footage was due to the prison’s outdated recording system.

Bondi said: “There was a minute that was off the counter, and what we learned from the Bureau of Prisons is every night they redo that video… every night should have the same minute missing.”

The footage comes as part of the DOJ and FBI’s investigation into the paedo’s death – a Donald Trump campaign promise.

The agencies also found that Epstein didn’t keen a client list of other powerful people involved in the sex crimes which a conspiracy theory said he used to blackmail them.

No client list existing also runs directly against what administration officials like FBI director Kash Patel and Bondi herself had previously said.

In an interview on Fox News in February, Bondi herself said the client list was “sitting on my desk right now to review.”

She addressed the comment during Tuesday’s cabinet meeting saying that she meant the Epstein file in its entirety.

The cause of the banker’s death had been subject to rampant conspiracy theories online.

To try and end those, the FBI released 11 hours of footage from inside the prison around the time of Epstein’s death.

Other than the guard leaving, no one walks across the common area towards Epstein’s cell or away from it.

At approximately 10.39pm, a guard appeared to walk in the direction of Epstein’s cell and then reappeared within view of the camera at 10.41pm.

Guards can be seen walking around the common area just before 6.30am on the 10th as they deliver breakfast.

At approximately 6.33am, more guards enter the common area and walk towards the area of Epstein’s cell – presumably after he was found dead in his cell.

Epstein was pronounced dead six minutes later with the CCTV footage being the last of the paedo being alive.
