Actor and comedian Jerry Seinfeld responded to an activist who ambushed him about Palestine, saying he doesn’t care about the territory.

In a clip posted to Subway DJ’s Instagram page, he walked up to Seinfeld, where he asked if he could get a selfie with the comedian.

“Sure!” Seinfeld said.

The social media influencer held up a peace sign and said “Free Palestine!”

Seinfeld briefly stood there, not responding, before the Instagrammer questioned if he would “maybe” say it.

“I don’t care about Palestine,” Seinfeld replied, shaking his head.

“That’s sad,” the activist said, frowning.

The video was uploaded Sunday to Instagram, but it appeared to be filmed when Seinfeld was in New York City for the 50th anniversary of “Saturday Night Live.”

Seinfeld, who is Jewish, was a staunch ally of Israel in its war against Hamas. He publicly voiced his support for Israel and its war against Hamas, which killed upward of 45,000, the Gaza health ministry said.

He delivered a commencement speech at Duke University last Spring, and dozens of students walked out in protest. Seinfeld said it was “dumb” that he was a target of the protests.

The Hill has reached out to a representative for Seinfeld for comment, but a statement reported by Mediaite from the comedian responded to the online activist.

“I lived and worked on a Kibbutz in Israel when I was 16 and I have loved our Jewish homeland ever since. My heart is breaking from these attacks and atrocities,” Seinfeld’s statement said. “But we are also a very strong people in our hearts and minds. We believe in justice, freedom and equality. We survive and flourish no matter what. I will stand with Israel and the Jewish people.”
