JON Stewart has revealed he is game to doing an interview with the Tesla mogul Elon Musk.

The Daily Show star’s response came days after Musk replied to a fan who urged the pair to do a sitdown following the comic’s attack on the Department of Government Efficiency.

Last week, Stewart got so wound up during a monologue that he smashed a coffee cup and was left with a bloody hand as he blasted Doge.

On Monday night, Stewart broke his silence and seemed to take Musk up on his offer.

But Musk had one condition: that the sitdown wouldn’t be edited.

“After thinking about his offer, I thought, ‘Hey, that’s actually how these in-studio interviews normally air,’” Stewart told viewers.

And, he didn’t put a timeframe on it.

“As a matter of fact, let me sweeten or un-sweeten the pot. The interview can be 15 minutes, it can be an hour, it can be two hours, whatever,” he said.

“I am game. I think it’ll be a very interesting conversation.”

Stewart admitted he had concerns about DOGE, but appeared willing to debate them with Musk on-air.

The comic, who returned to the Daily Show last year after a hiatus, accused the government of not understanding where the elements of “real waste” are.

Doge has claimed it has already saved $105 billion – a figure that is heavily disputed.

Musk says he has been tasked to find around $2 trillion worth of savings.

In his tirade, Stewart suggested ways the government could save money – such as by honing in on subsidies given to oil and gas giants.

He claimed that $1.3 billion a year could be saved by closing the interest loophole on hedge funds.

He also lashed out at the government’s approach to slashing the workforce.

And Stewart blasted pharmaceutical companies getting tax breaks.

He became so furious that he smashed the mug on his desk, which had “World’s most dad” on it.

Stewart said he was fine despite having a cut on his hand.

His actions did spark huge concern among viewers.

Critics described the host as “desperate” and claimed his actions were a sign that he was trying to stay relevant.
