Jonathan Scott cracked an awkward joke on Today With Jenna & Friends that clearly caught guest host Dwyane Wade off-guard and shocked even his twin brother, Drew Scott.

The Property Brothers were visiting Today to promote their new HGTV series Chasing the West. Wade pointed out that the brothers now have several series and businesses under their belts, and had even released a country single together in 2016, titled “Hold On.”

“You guys do so much. I feel like I’ve grown up with you guys, I’ve been watching you on television for a very long time,” Wade said.

“Call me daddy,” Jonathan responded.

Even Drew seemed surprised as Wade quickly responded, “I can’t do that on live TV.”

“Whoa!” Drew interjected.

Everyone shared a laugh over the joke. However, Bush Hager did stand up for Wade as he continued posing his question about their short-lived music career.

“No. He’s not gonna call you daddy,” she said. “I won’t let him.”

Bush Hager and Wade later grilled Jonathan about his upcoming wedding to New Girl star Zooey Deschanel. The co-hosts even offered their own services for the ceremony.

“We’re wearing white so if you need officiants, we’re happy,” Bush Hager said of herself and Wade.

Drew even interjected to say they could take care of the wedding right then and there. “Bring her out right now!” he joked.

Jonathan also ultimately shot down Bush Hager’s offer to hold the wedding in Rockefeller Plaza, telling her it could lead to the end of his marriage.

“I will be single,” he responded.

Today with Jenna & Friends airs on weekdays at 10/9c on NBC.
