The SUV carrying two adolescents struck a tree in McCandless during the night, resulting in their deaths. Around three in the morning on Saturday, Allegheny County police reported that an 18-year-old man lost control of his SUV while speeding along Irwin Road close to Babcock Boulevard and collided with a tree. In a message, the Pine-Richland School District informed families that both current and previous students were involved in the crash. According to the district, at least one other student is receiving medical attention for injuries, and one of the adolescents who passed away was a current student.
