Democrats seem increasingly focused on criticizing various Trump administration initiatives aimed at improving and beautifying Washington D.C., suggesting a lack of alternative ideas to enhance the lives of everyday Americans.
The controversy surrounding the cleanup of Columbus Circle, a key site outside the bustling Union Station in Washington D.C., is perplexing. Democrats appear to prefer the previous state of neglect, where the fountain was marred by graffiti, rather than functioning as intended.
Much ire has also been directed towards efforts to renovate the Reflecting Pool, located in front of the Lincoln Memorial on the National Mall. The project has faced challenges, such as algae turning parts of the pool green, an event seized upon by Trump’s detractors.
It’s puzzling that anyone would rejoice at such issues, yet those with an intense aversion to Trump seem to do so. Although I have criticized President Joe Biden at times, I believe I would commend him for undertaking similar improvement initiatives.
However, this is not the approach taken by the Left. One left-leaning publication, which remains unnamed here, penned a particularly sarcastic piece criticizing these efforts.
Jeanine Pirro, the Fox News host-turned-U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, grew heated over her decision to prosecute a former Olympic canoeist for touching the president’s beloved Reflecting Pool last month.
No, you absolute moron, it’s the nation’s beloved Reflecting Pool, not Trump’s. And the suspect isn’t being charged for touching it — he was indicted for vandalizing it, as we will describe in a moment.
The writer went on to charge that the project was “a $14 million waste of time, increasing heat absorption and triggering the worst algae bloom in years.” Heat absorption? Come on, AWFL. Go to Amazon and buy a life.
Pirro has seen enough of this nonsense and is sick of people trying to downplay reports that the pool has been repeatedly and significantly damaged by deranged activists. At a Thursday press conference regarding the indictment of three-time U.S. Olympic canoeist David Hearn, 67, of Bethesda, MD, on a felony destruction of property charge for allegedly ripping apart the newly installed blue sealant, Pirro pushed back on the media’s endless insistence that there’s no proof he did anything wrong.
Come sit on the grand jury if you have exculpatory evidence, Pirro dared the biased journo:

Jeanine Pirro: “Oh, he damaged it!”
Reporter: “Do you believe there had already been damaged before?”
Jeanine Pirro: “He damaged the pool!”
Reporter: “There are all these videos —”
Jeanine Pirro: “Well, good, I’m glad you got that evidence. Come on to the grand jury, you can testify. NEXT!”

The Reflecting Pool Vandalism Is More Than Just Odd Leftist Behavior VIP
Would the media try to tie Reflecting Pool vandalism to the events of January 6, 2021? Of course they would! But the two incidents don’t actually have anything to do with each other, so Pirro wasn’t having it, as RedState’s Buzz Patterson noted.

We’ve seen so many performative displays and assaults on basic logic by the Left and their accomplices in the media in the Trump era as they try to justify their increasingly socialist fantasies. The cheering of problems and vandalism at one of the nation’s most treasured monuments marks yet another low, along with their knee-jerk defense of anti-Trump vandals who stand accused of serious crimes.
Pirro wasn’t standing for their BS gaslighting, and nor should any American who believes in this country.
