THE bizarre link between two grisly murders in Massachusetts has been revealed as the lead investigator in both cases has raised speculation about his integrity.

Suspended Massachusetts State Police Trooper Michael Proctor faces allegations of misconduct after text messages he sent while serving as the lead investigator in the Karen Read murder case were exposed.

Read went to trial last year after she was accused of murdering her Boston police officer boyfriend, John O’Keefe, who was found dead in the snow outside of a home in Canton, Massachusetts, in January 2022.

Her trial ended in a hung jury after a shocking revelation during cross-examination, when Proctor admitted to sending a series of inappropriate texts about Read to friends, family, and fellow troopers during the investigation.

Proctor was also the lead investigator in the murder investigation for Ana Walshe, who went missing in January 2023.

Brian Walshe is accused of killing Ana and dismembering her body. He’s set to face trial this year for the murder case.
