DONALD Trump’s press secretary has come out swinging on her second full day on the job by accusing the bishop who spoke at the President’s prayer service of “spewing lies.”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt demanded an apology from Bishop Mariann Budde for pleading with Trump to have mercy on Americans during her sermon on Tuesday.

Leavitt blasted the Episcopal leader in an appearance on Fox News on Wednesday.

“It was supposed to be a unifying and bipartisan church service,” Leavitt slammed.

“Everybody there was shocked and mortified by the disturbing comments from this bishop who chose to weaponize the pulpit,” she said, adding that Budde “spewed lies.”

“She should apologize to President Trump for the lies that she told. It’s despicable.”

The fiery rant left some Fox News viewers impressed with Leavitt, who is the youngest person to hold the title of White House press secretary at just 27.

“Karoline Leavitt what a refreshing breath of fresh air as White House press secretary!” one fan wrote on X.

“No more KJP lies and smokescreens, lunatic nonsense covering for Biden!” they continued, throwing in a dig at former press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

“I believe Karoline Leavitt will be the first woman and press secretary to outtalk the press,” another shared.

“She’s spitting nails on the new Immigration policy,” a third viewer wrote, adding, “this is fantastic.”

During her sermon at the National Cathedral on January 21, Budde urged Trump to “have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now.”

“There are gay, lesbian and transgender children in democratic, republican and independent families, some who fear for their lives,” she said.

Trump, Vice President JD Vance and their families sneered and looked down while the bishop kept speaking.

Budde implored Trump to reconsider how he treats and talks about asylum seekers in America.

“They may not be citizens or have the proper documentation, but the vast majority of immigrants are not criminals,” she said during the service.

However, Leavitt declared on Fox News that “illegal immigrants are criminal by name.”

Her demand echoes that of Trump, who lashed out at the bishop in a Truth Social post on Wednesday morning.

“The so-called Bishop who spoke at the National Prayer Service on Tuesday morning was a Radical Left hard line Trump hater,” Trump slammed.

“She brought her church into the World of politics in a very ungracious way. She was nasty in tone, and not compelling or smart.”

He added, “Apart from her inappropriate statements, the service was a very boring and uninspiring one. She is not very good at her job!

“She and her church owe the public an apology!
