CORNELL University announced it would drop Grammy-nominated artist Kehlani from performing on campus due to her extreme anti-Israel comments.

The university initially defended its decision to host Kehlani on campus, but rescinded her invitation after facing major backlash from the community.

Kehlani was set to headline the school’s end of year celebration called, “Slope Day.”

“Unfortunately, although it was not the intention, the selection of Kehlani as this year’s headliner has injected division and discord into Slope Day,” Cornell president Michael Kotlikoff wrote in a letter to students and staff.

“In the days since Kehlani was announced, I have heard grave concerns from our community that many are angry, hurt, and confused that Slope Day would feature a performer who has espoused antisemitic, anti-Israel sentiments in performances, videos, and on social media.

“While any artist has the right in our country to express hateful views, Slope Day is about uniting our community, not dividing it.”

Kotlikoff admitted that he may receive backlash, but told students it was “the right thing to do.”

The Ivy League university said it was initially unaware of the artist’s extreme views, The Post reported.

However, Kehlani’s political views have not been kept a secret.

Last spring, she posted a music video which starts with the controversial saying, “Long live the Intifada.”

The phrase has long been used to describe periods of intense Palestinian protest against Israel.
