LORI Vallow has appeared grinning ear to ear as she appeared in court for her latest murder conspiracy charge
The “doomsday mom” who was convicted of murdering her two children, was in pleasant spirits during her scheduling conference in Arizona.
Vallow’s children Tylee Ryan, 16, and Joshua “JJ” Vallow, 7, disappeared in September 2019 sparking nationwide interest.
Vallow and her husband refused to answer what had happened to the children, leading to police finding their bodies in shallow graves on Daybell’s property a year later.
The couple has been connected to multiple deaths including that of Charles Vallow, Alexander Cox, and Tammy Daybell, Chad’s wife at the time.
The mother of three was found guilty for the deaths of her children and Daybell’s wife.
Prosecutors believe that she killed her kids so she could start a new life with her husband.
They also believe that the couple conspired to kill Tammy for a similar reason.
While Vallow is currently serving life in prison in Idaho, she also faces additional charges in Arizona.
She appeared in a scheduling conference where she is facing two counts of conspiracy to murder for allegedly planning to kill her ex-husband, Charles Vallow, and attempting to kill Brandon Boudreaux.
Despite the charges, she appeared happy as ever as she walked into court.
The convicted killer was smiling ear to ear and laughing to her lawyer while wearing an orange jumpsuit and handcuffs.
She appeared in court for four minutes where she confirmed her name and date of birth.
A judge scheduled the next pretrial hearing for April 24 where Vallow waived her right to appear on that day.
‘VERY CHATTY’
Vallow was extradited from prison in Pocatello, Idaho to Phoenix, Arizona in December, where she was described as being “very chatty” during her 18-hour trip.
Sheriff Paul Penzone said Vallow was “very sociable” during a press conference.
“The entire trip — she talked quite a bit. I don’t know that she gave any specific statements related to the investigation, but I just know that they said she was very chatty.”
Her extradition was requested by the Maricopa County’s attorney’s office, and they revealed that she will remain in custody and without bail.
“She’s deemed to be high security,” Penzone said. “So she’ll be isolated in a high-security area.”
A new mugshot was released to the public, showing Vallow staring at the camera with wide eyes.
“Pursuing criminals and bringing them to justice is what we do, and we’re very good at it,” Penzone wrote in a statement.
‘MY POWERS’
Vallow is accused of working with her brother, Alex Cox to murder her late fourth husband, Charles Vallow.
The two were married for 12 years, before Charles filed for divorce, claiming Lori believed she had adopted new spiritual ideologies based on the Mormon faith.
The convicted killer has been accused of planning Charles’s murder so she could marry Daybell, as well as get Charles a $1 million life insurance policy.
On July 19, 2019, Cox called the police and “reported that he had shot and killed his brother-in-law,” the Maricopa County prosecutor’s office said.
He claimed that at the time of the shooting, he was acting in self-defense.
However, months before his death Charles has told police that his wife had threatened to kill him.
“I can murder you now, with my powers,” she said, according to Charles.
Cox reportedly died of a pulmonary blood clot that same year.
THE DISAPPEARANCE OF TYLEE AND JJ
Vallow had captured the world’s attention after her kids Tylee and JJ had gone missing.
The children’s grandparents would be the ones to report the kids missing in November 2019.
Officers would attempt to conduct a welfare check for the kids but soon realized the parents demeanor was concerning.
Police described the couple as being unconcerned that their kids were gone, causing authorities to get a search warrant for the couple.
In the midst of authorities looking for the two kids, the couple decided to get married in Hawaii.
It was believed that the newlyweds were recruiting people for their cult headed by Daybell.
The following year, In February 2020, Vallow was arrested for not reporting that her kids were missing.
After the arrest, police were able to search Daybell’s home, where they found the bodies of JJ and Tylee.
The alleged cult leader would not only be tied to the murder of Vallow’s kids but would also be accused of killing his wife Tammy.
