Kim Kardashian has reportedly taken a significant step in renovating her expansive $60 million estate in the upscale neighborhood of Hidden Hills, California, by removing a basketball court cherished by her ex-husband, Kanye West.
Earlier this year, the 45-year-old reality television star shared her renovation plans on an episode of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians,” mentioning her intentions to revamp the property while humorously hinting at manifesting her next husband.
The basketball court, a gift from Kim to Kanye for his 38th birthday back in 2015, is said to have been demolished to make way for new additions to the home. Kim is reportedly adding two substantial ‘his and hers’ wings to the residence, marking a clear shift in her personal and domestic life.
During a March episode of her show, Kim playfully questioned “where is his side?” while discussing her renovation plans, suggesting her openness to new romantic possibilities.
The mansion’s western wing has already been completed, while work is underway on the east wing’s foundation, according to reports from The Sun. These additions appear to be designed with the intent of creating balanced spaces, potentially for a future partner.
The huge extensions have removed much of the grounds’ green space, including Kanye’s basketball court.

The reality star, 45, confessed earlier this year in an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians that is renovating the home

Kim has reportedly knocked down Kanye’s basketball court – which she bought him for his 38th birthday in 2015 – and is instead adding two huge ‘his and hers’ wings to the property
The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Kim for comment.
Kim mentioned her plans to factor a future partner into the construction project on the most recent season of Hulu’s The Kardashians, which aired in March but was filmed some time in 2024.
‘I’m packing up my entire house. I’m fully remodelling and it’s not easy to do this with four kids,’ Kim said in confessional at the time, adding that she had, ‘one time in my life when I can do this.’
She told cameras that she would move out for ‘a year and a half’ and joked about building big new additions for when she one day finds a new partner.
‘I did this whole renovation and I looked up to my team and I go, “Guys, we’re adding on to the house, we’re changing everything for me”, and then I thought, “Wait, where’s the his side?”‘ she recalled.
‘I’ll be so stuck in that, and not even be open to having a partner, if I don’t like build it.
‘So if you build it, he will come,’ Kim said with a laugh, repeating the famous line in the 1989 baseball classic film Field of Dreams.
The Hidden Hills home was bought for $20million in 2014 while she was still married to Kanye.

Kanye, 48, then spent five years remodelling the sprawling eight-bedroom, ten-bathroom abode with the help of Belgian designer Axel Vervoordt and other big names in modern architecture.
The house has repeatedly gone viral for its minimalist, neutral-toned aesthetic, which many observers have branded ‘cold’ or ‘depressing’ over the years.
When the couple split in 2021, Kim became the sole owner after paying Kanye $23million – $20million for the home itself and $3million for its contents.
Just days ago, it was reported that Kim snapped up a home located next door to her as part of her extension.
According to TMZ, the billionaire SKIMS founder paid $7million for the neighbouring 5,000sq ft property, which boasts four bedrooms and five bathrooms.
As well as having an incredible view, several fireplaces and a spa, Kim’s new piece of real estate is located in close proximity to the area’s horse trails.
The home purchase is reportedly part of a huge expansion to her existing property, which already sits on three acres of land.
The Daily Mail reached out to representatives for Kim at the time.

Soon after purchasing the four bedroom, six bathroom Mediterranean-style home, Kardashian began renovations that were reportedly completed some time in 2024
It was previously claimed by Page Six that Kim owned ‘all the land and adjoining lots around the house but Kanye [owned] the actual house.’
The outlet’s insider also shared that she wanted to keep the property because it was where her children with Kanye ‘are based and growing up.’
The mother-of-four began a major renovation on the 15,000sq ft home in late 2024 after her divorce was finalised.
Along with her Hidden Hills mansion, she also owns a $70million Malibu dream home bought in 2022.
